Heal your window panes. Call Today!

Solve your foggy window condensation problems at a fraction of the cost of other window repair methods. At All Clear Windows we specialize in moisture and condensation removal from your thermal windows instead of expensive window replacement.

Since 1989 our proven technology has revolutionized the traditional window replacement business by repairing problem windows through our window restoration process. This proprietary process removes moisture in failed thermal pane windows while restoring the much needed R-value.

This technology can also be installed in new windows, protecting against future seal failures and moisture accumulation. Many people believe that the problem with Fog, Condensation or Moisture in their windows means that the window seal has broken and needs to be replaced. This is False!

The foggy or condensation window problem really boils down to the inability of the window's desiccant material to absorb the moisture that naturally builds between thermal pane windows. Don't Replace Your Windows, Repair them with All Clear Windows!

Why Windows Fail...

...Because of Condensation between Window Pane and Moisture in Windows

Inevitably all multiple paned sealed units will fail due to the deterioration and breakdown of the adhesive sealant which then allows warm and cold air to infiltrate the air space between the sealed layers of glass. The seal can be compromised during manufacturing process, movement of product in warehouse or the shipping or installation process.

If the product actually survives this process from manufacturing to installation, it now has to face the elements such as sun, rain, wind, barometric pressure changes etc. Not to mention power washing and use of harsh chemicals to clean. The window manufacturers are well aware of this.

As a result of these problems, the manufacturers of sealed units place crystal or desiccants within the frame to absorb moisture. These desiccants would be similar to the bag of crystals you might find in the box when you purchase a pair of shoes, a camera, computer equipment or just about any product that may be susceptible to moisture damage. These desiccants or crystals, depending on how badly the seal has failed, will last 5-15 yrs. Once the Desiccants are saturated, they will not absorb the moisture. (Like the straw that broke the camels back.)

You will then see moisture in between the panes. This is the time you want to fix or vent your windows...all of them. Because if you have one failure and all your windows are the same age, by the same manufacturer, chances are they are all failed.

If you do not address this problem, solar pumping occurs, same problem with barometric pressure change. This process we call the Bellows Effect. When the dry dead air space is heated or barometric pressure change occurs, the volume of air expands. When it cools or barometric pressure lowers, it contracts, creating a Bellows Effect.

When the pressure is reducing, it is actually pumping or sucking, so if the seal is failed, it will actually suck any moisture from around the frame right into the window. Now the problem compounds, moisture in the window is pushed up and down the window all day long.

The desiccants are comprised of magnesium and calcium, and once they are dissolved in the moisture, the residue from these desiccants will stain the window white. White streaks and blotches occur. The white stains are pitted into the glass and cannot be removed. This takes 1 - 2 years after failure. Ideally, all sealed units should be vented after 10 yrs and they will virtually last forever.

 Removing the Condensation

All Clear Windows, having realized the huge market potential for a cure, spent 2.5 yrs doing study and research of the problem. We have developed a system to vent the window, allowing it to dry out and restore value. (which is based on dry dead air space). We have designed and produced a restrictive valve, which allows enough airflow to dry out the window and still maintain dead air space.

When the sun, warm temperature or barometric pressure increases pressure in the sealed unit, it is simply released through the valve. Solar pumping or Bellows Effect is stopped, eliminating the problem permanently. Effectively removing condensation between window pane and the moisture in windows.

Announcing a NEW Service!

We are proud and excited to announce All Clear Windows is the first Window Medics USA Corp. authorized dealer in Nashville area to offer an effective, low-cost solution to foggy window condensation problems! Until now, the standard reply to a foggy window was, “sorry, the seals have failed, get a new window.” But not anymore!

The Problem:

All windows eventually fail; the best day a window ever had was the day it was made. The main cause of window failure, besides poor caulking, is “solar pumping.” When sunshine hits a window, the air inside heats up (think of your car on a hot day!) and expands out through the window’s semi-permeable seal. In the evening the window cools and contracts, drawing air—and humidity—in with it.

All windows eventually fail. The best day a window
ever had was the day it was made.

Window manufactures expect this. Built into every window frame is silica desiccant, designed to capture that moisture. But after months and years of solar pumping, the desiccant becomes saturated. Unable to escape, moisture begins to accumulate and soon is visible as condensation or fog inside your thermal pane windows.

Our Solution:

First, two tiny holes are drilled in opposite corners of a failed window. Next, a proprietary solution is sprayed in the window to clean and dry the inside of the window. And last, a unique Micro-Valve is applied over each hole. These one-way valves allow the remaining moisture to evaporate and act to neutralize the solar pumping which caused the window to fail in the first place. The window will never again have condensation.

How We Defog Your Windows

First, we drill two tiny holes (3/8) in the glass window pane, one in an upper corner and one diagonally opposite it in a lower corner. Next, we spray several proprietary and environmentally friendly solutions inside the sealed window unit to clean and remove all haze and contaminants. We then extract the solutions and dry out the double pane window. Finally, we apply our patented, micro-valves to the holes we drilled.

Due to the water already present in the desiccant and inner frame, along with the solutions we used in cleaning the thermal pane window, it can take up to 12 weeks for the window unit to completely dry. In the summer months when we have lots of sun we find that windows usually dry out in two to four weeks. During this healing process, expect to see moisture or fog come and go repeatedly. This is normal! Sometimes, in order to speed up the drying process here in the humid Southeast, we will wait to apply the valves until two weeks after the service.

Congratulations! Your insulated glass units (IGUs) have been re-engineered and will now enjoy years of extended life. You’ve saved money, kept tons of glass out of the landfill, and restored the R-value of your windows back to their original specifications.*

The Window Medics International process has been healing windows since 1989. We back our repairs with a full Lifetime Limited Warranty.

*A few high-end windows may have been filled with Argon, or another inert gas that ,when present provided a slightly higher insulating value.

Preventive Maintenance

When your home or office was built, the windows were probably all manufactured and installed at the same time. Because of this, the clear windows adjacent to visibly foggy windows have been exposed to the same devastating environmental conditions. If you have been experiencing window failure on some windows, chances are that all your thermal pane windows are nearing the end of their engineered life span. There may not be visible signs of moisture yet (i.e. window fog or condensation), but it isn't far behind.

THE BEST TIME TO FIX A WINDOW IS BEFORE THE SIGNS OF MOISTURE APPEAR.

Our Preventive Maintenance process has been specifically developed to allow the window to breathe before moisture enters the window. We can perform the "Dew-Point Chill Test" on your windows FREE OF CHARGE to identify the presence of moisture before it becomes visible. Our Preventive Maintenance process will stop the damaging effects of the sun before they start.
